June Frank

June Irene Frank, age 93, of Chambersburg, PA; passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2011 in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born October 14, 1918 in St. Thomas, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Alice Leedy Salmon.
A homemaker most of her life, Mrs. Frank enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking, and playing cards. She was a member of the VFW Post 1599 Ladies Auxillary, the Chambersburg Garden Club, Central Presbyterian Church, and Central Fidelis Sunday School Club for more than 60 years. In her early years, Mrs. Frank worked at the Wool Mill in Chambersburg and Glick Shoes, also in Chambersburg.
Surviving are her children, Linda Czap (husband Terence) of Chambersburg, PA and Christina Hays (husband William) of Severn, MD; a granddaughter, Holly Strausner; six siblings, Paul (Betty), Ray (Charlotte), Jess (Janice), Ronald (Peggy), Robert (Beverly) Salmon, and Patricia Stevens; and a sister-in-law, Jackie Salmon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert M. “Andy” Frank, on March 20, 2005 and two brothers, William and Joseph Salmon.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 6, 2012 at 10 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where Rev. John Helgeson will officiate. The family will receive friends in the funeral home on Thursday, January 5, 2012 from 6-8 PM; and Friday one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Lincoln Cemetery.
