Katherine E. Love, 64, of Palmyra, PA, passed away on June 30, 2024 in Penn State Hershey Medical Center. She was born on January 24, 1960, in Alma, GA, to the late JE Meeks and Shirley Baisden Meeks.
Katherine led a remarkable life filled with a diverse range of experiences and accomplishments. She pursued her education diligently and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education with a minor in English from Georgia Southern University after attending the University of Georgia.
With a vibrant and enthusiastic personality, Katherine touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Her career spanned various roles as a manager and waitress before she found her calling as a Medical Office Manager at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Breast Care Center in Hershey, PA.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Katherine had a deep passion for music, cooking, reading, history, movies, and gardening. She also found joy in sports, particularly rooting for the Georgia Bulldogs Football team, Tennessee Lady Vols Basketball team, and New York Rangers Hockey team.
She is survived by her loving husband Robert D. Love of Palmyra; daughter Tiffany R. Meeks-Van Der Werf and son-in-law David J. Van Der Werf of Hummelstown; son Robert Keith Wright, Jr. of Voorhees, NJ; four cherished grandchildren, Elijah, Kyree, PJ, and Vivian; as well as her sister Sandra Jo Pohlman of Waycross, GA.
Services and interment will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, PA. Condolences and memories may be shared at geiselfuneralhome.com.
