Katherine Larue Paul

 Katherine “Kathy” Larue Kochert Paul, 72, of Chambersburg, passed away, Thursday June 27, 2024. She was born Friday June 29, 1951 to the late James F. and May A. Kochert in Munich, Germany. 

 Kathy’s beloved husband of forty-six years, Kirk Patrick Paul, preceded her in death on October 13, 2022. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister Joan M. Toner. She is survived by two children; daughter Kathleen Fyock and husband Christopher of Fannettsburg, and her son Kristopher Patrick Paul of Chambersburg; two grandchildren Paisley and Ruby Fyock; sister Eileen A. Petit; brothers Robert C. Kochert and wife Teri, Denis J. Kockert and wife Denise, and James A. Kochert; in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

 Kathy graduated from Shippensburg University with a degree in education. It brought joy to her life being a teacher and working with children. She worked many years with the Lincoln Intermediate Unit teaching newly arrived immigrants to our country. She always saw the best in people and got along easily with everybody. She was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church here in Chambersburg.

 Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Chambersburg. Memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at First United Methodist Church, officiated by Reverend Mark Terwilliger.
