Kathryn M. Criniti, age 88, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly in the Chambersburg Hospital on Tuesday, December 15, 2015. Born October 30, 1927, in Yardley, PA, she was the daughter of the late Anna Doyle Robbins. Mrs. Criniti graduated from the former Yardley School. She worked as a teacher’s aide for years at a local Junior High school in Neshaminy, Pa, retiring in 1992. She had a passion for helping children and being around children of all ages. In her younger days, she would ice skate, play catch, or throw a Frisbee with her family. She and her husband, Mike, were avid ballroom dancers. Mrs. Criniti enjoyed teaching line dances to her friends in Harrisburg, before moving to Chambersburg in 2007. More recently, Mrs. Criniti enjoyed going to Windy Knoll for ice cream and using her Ipad. Surviving is her husband of 41 years, Michael Criniti, whom she married on May 11, 1974; three children, Kathy Glatz of Denver, CO, Ginny Gill (husband Ken) of Chambersburg, PA, and Joe Glatz (wife Claire Rausch) of Port Angeles WA; three grandchildren, Chelsea Moore (husband Jeff) and Marlee and Jeffrey Glatz; and two great – grandchildren, Brilynn and Colton Moore. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her first husband Joseph Glatz. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015, at 11 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where Rev. Murray Stevens will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at 2 PM at Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Road West, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
