Kathryn Marilyn Yanchuk, age 76, of Chambersburg, PA passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Manor Care Nursing Home. Born July 10, 1937 in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late William and Florence Layton Driscoll.
Mrs. Yanchuk was a homemaker most of her working years, she enjoyed caring for her family and taking care of their needs. In addition, she enjoyed travel and cooking. Mrs. Yanchuk was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
Surviving is her husband of 54 years, Robert G. Yanchik, whom she married on April 4, 1959; her daughter, Linda M. Kaiser (husband Gordon) of Chambersburg, PA; seven grandchildren, Michelle Driscoll, Corinne Kriner, Sean, Jordan, Jacob, Jessie, and Drake Kaiser; four great-grandchildren, Cera, Owen, Nora, and Grace. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 10 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA, where Rev. Fr. James R. O’Brien will officiate. The family will receive friends in the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens.
