Kathy L. (Smith) Mellott, 68, of Chambersburg, PA passed away peacefully in her home Wednesday, August 24, 2022. Born April 26, 1954 in Chambersburg she was the daughter of the late Howard and Mary Elizabeth (Suloff) Smith.
She was a graduate of the Chambersburg High School with the Class of 1972. Kathy was employed as a bus driver for Meyer Bus Line for 35 years. She was an auxiliary member of the American Legion Post 46, Chambersburg and American Legion Post 612, St. Thomas, PA. Kathy was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling to different courses with her late husband, Richard “Rick” Mellott who passed away November 30, 2019.
She is survived by three children, Stacy Baker and her husband Ryan of Texas, Jeremy Mellott of Chambersburg, PA, and Jason Mellott and his wife Selena of Chambersburg, PA; six grandchildren, Emerick, Maverick, and Waverly Mellott and Kelia, Kristin, and Cody Weaver; a two great-grandchildren, Jayden Stains and Alaric James; two siblings, Elizabeth Shew and her husband Butch of Chambersburg and Kerry Smith and his wife Sarah of Virginia.
A celebration of life will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg. Online condolences may be expressed at www.geiselfuneralhome.com.
