Kay V. Kimple, age 69, of Chambersburg, PA and formerly of Buchanan Valley, passed away on Tuesday morning, March 25, 2014 at Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born November 9, 1944, she was a daughter of the late James E. and Kathryn Brown Watson. Kay worked as a house cleaner in the Gettysburg and Ardentsville areas, at the Ardentsville Shoe Factory, and as a security guard for Shaad Detective Agency. She was a member of Buchanan Valley Volunteer Fire Department, the Cashtown Community Volunteer Fire Company, the Adams County Fire Police Association, and the Pennsylvania State Fire Police Association.
She is survived by four children, Sherry L. Kimple of Gettysburg, PA, Sandra K. Keller and husband Kevin of Monk’s Corner, SC, Robert R. Kimple, Jr. and wife Chris of Buchanan Valley, PA, and Lisa A. Dick and husband David of Fairfield, PA; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one brother, James W. Watson of New Oxford, PA. Aside from her parents, she is preceded in death by four siblings.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday, March 31, 2014 at Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 201 Franklin Farm Lane, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
