Keith Coons

Keith L. Coons, age 61, of Dry Run, PA; passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at the Pinnacle Health Hospital in Harrisburg, PA. Born December 1, 1950, he was the son of the late Dale F. and LaRue Murray Coons.

A dairy farmer and livestock hauler all his life, Keith enjoyed agriculture and the livestock business. He also enjoyed reading the Lancaster Farmer, staying informed on current events, watching Fox News, and sports, especially basketball.

Surviving are his wife of 36 years, Sharon Swetic Coons; two sons, Eric J. Coons (wife Tara) of Rogers, AR and Aaron D. Coons of Dry Run, PA; two grandchildren, Linden and Kellen Coons; and two siblings, Kim Coons Russell (husband Robert ) of Chambersburg, PA and Kirk L. Coons (wife Jennifer) of Doylesburg, PA.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 17, 2012 at 10 AM in the Agett-Geisel Funeral Home, 18875 Main St., Dry Run, where Rev. Fr. Keith Carroll will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 16 from 6-9 PM and on Friday one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in the Upper Path Valley Cemetery.
