Keith Haney

Keith Allen Haney, 76, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born March 16, 1947 in Waynesburg, PA, he was the son of the late Floyd and Betty Flesher Haney.

Keith earned his Bachelor’s degree in Education from California State College in California, PA. He later earned his Master’s degree from George Washington University in Maryland. He was employed as a teacher in Anne Arundel County, MD until his retirement. Keith was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Fayetteville, PA and Salem Lodge #196 F & AM in Smithburg, MD. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed reading and jigsaw puzzles. He also loved playing with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sandra Hughes Haney, whom he married on August 15, 1970; two sons, Lee Haney (wife Brandee) of Severna Park, MD, and Craig Haney (wife Tiffany) of Strongsville, OH; four grandchildren, Campbell, Darson, Brennan and Burke Haney; two sisters, Saundra King of Mathers, PA and Shelley Sowers (husband Brad) of Amity, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 6th, 2024 at Calvary United Methodist Church, 150 Norlo Drive, Fayetteville, PA 17222. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation at pulmonaryfibrosis.org, or to Calvary Untied Methodist Church at the above address. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, PA.
