Kenneth Brantner

July 22, 1964 — June 5, 2015

Kenneth M.“Kenny” Brantner died unexpectedly in his home on Friday, June 5, 2015, in Chambersburg, PA at the age of 50. Kenny was born on July 22, 1964, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania to Roy Brantner Sr. and the late Patricia Joann (Suders) Brantner.

He attended the Chambersburg School District. After high school, Kenny became a truck driver and he successfully did that for 31 years. He was currently employed at Eagle Systems, Inc. He was a very talented truck driver, receiving many safe driving awards with the company, Expedited; including an award for being a safe driver seven consecutive years. A generous man, Kenny tended to the needs of others, before his own. Passionate about our Lord Jesus Christ, he would always tell his family how he enjoyed talking to our Lord and how he found strength through Jesus Christ. His family meant everything to him and he made sure they knew it, especially by always checking in with his loved ones if he would hear of an accident on a road close to home, just to make sure they all were safe. He brought strength to the family by always being the rock that held everyone together. Kenny was the kind of man that would always be there for you if you needed a friend. He loved Harley Davidson bikes and memorabilia and riding his Harleys. He also donated to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. His family and friends will always remember his kind heart and funny stories. He was always the life of the party. Kenny will be greatly missed by so many people, but his legacy will live on through all of the lives that he has touched.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his step-mother, Margaret A. Brantner; six siblings, Roy Brantner Jr. (Jeannie); Deborah Brantner; John Brantner (Katie); Lori Beaver (Eric); and Tammy Campbell (Bill). In addition, Kenny is survived by three nieces, Jennifer Brantner, Jaime Brantner, and Stacy Brantner; and Jessica Brown (Ernest), who he considered a daughter; as well as several other nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.

Funeral services to honor Kenny’s life will be held on Friday, June 12, 2015 at 1 PM in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA, where Pastor John Pogue will officiate. The family will receive friends three hours prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Salem Cemetery.
