Kevin Riedy

Kevin Dan Neil Riedy, age 59, of Chambersburg, PA, loving husband, father, and grandfather, went home to be with his Lord and Savior after a short, brave battle with cancer on Friday, July 20, 2018, at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born April 20, 1959, in Allentown, PA, he was a son of Lillian Mantle Riedy and the late James Riedy.
A 1977 graduate of Louis Dieruff High School, Kevin went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in 1981 from Bloomsburg University. Kevin worked for Eldorado Stone in Architectural Stone Sales for many years. He was a member of King Street Church, Chambersburg, where he was a faithful servant of Christ teaching Sunday School and working with the youth ministry. He was an avid reader, enjoyed local history, spending time with family, golf outings with his sons, and traveling.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 37 years, Virginia Barr Riedy whom he married June 13, 1981, four children, Douglas and wife Brienna Riedy of Shippensburg, PA, Janelle and husband Adam Boguski of Lancaster, PA, Jeffrey Riedy of Shippensburg, PA, and Tyler Riedy and his fiancée Rachel Tardosky of Chambersburg, PA; three grandchildren, Grant, Eva, and Hadley; and two siblings, Robert and wife Karen Riedy of York, PA and Steven and wife Jennifer Riedy of Allentown, PA. In addition to his father, Kevin was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Audrey.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018, at 11 AM at King Street Church, 162 East King St., Chambersburg, PA, where Rev. Ronald Cook will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, from 5-7 PM in the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA 17202, there will be no viewing prior to the service at church. Interment will follow the service in Salem Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Sweet Grace Ministries, 77 Horst Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201 or to King Street Youth Missions at the above church address.
