Kimberly J. Burton, age 51, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Hershey Medical Center. Born February 2, 1963 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of Connie Harry High and the late Theodore “Ted” High. Her companion of 25 years, Pedro Ramirez preceded her in death on December 30, 2013.
A 1981 graduate of CASHS, Kim worked as an electronics mechanic for Bowhead at Letterkenny Army Depot for the past 7 years. She had previously been employed at James River for 15 years and Industrial harness for two years. Kim was a member of the Landis-McCleaf Detachment Marine Corps League Auxiliary. She enjoyed going to the casino, watching the Philadelphia Eagles, and going to work every day. She also loved her dog Peppy.
In addition to her mother, Kim is survived by two sons, Travis Meshyock, and Coty Ramirez, both of Fayetteville; one granddaughter, Rylee Meshyock; three sisters, Amy Musser and husband Jeff of Warfordsburg, Denise Funk and husband William, Jr. of Chambersburg, and Kelly High and fiancé Devin Friese of Chambersburg; two step-brothers, Teddy High and wife Paula, and Darrel High and wife Lili, both of FL; one niece and one nephew, Summer and Hunter Plessinger, both of Warfordsburg.
A memorial service to honor Kim’s life will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. John Pogue will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Franklin Fulton Unit, 924 N. Colonial Ave. York, PA 17403.
