Kimberly Kay Disbrow, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandma died on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at the Chambersburg Hospital at the age of 63. Born October 21, 1958 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late James Albert and Imogene (Bauman) Bowers.
A graduate of South Hagerstown High School, Kim went on to serve in the United States Air Force, where she repaired airplanes. She was an amazingly loving woman who accepted everyone into her family and home. From the moment she met anyone she would do anything for them. When her children were growing up her house was always the house the kids came to. She always listened and accepted people without any judgement.
Kim is survived by her husband of 36 years, George N. Disbrow, Jr., whom she married on December 7, 1985; her children, Malinda K. Bowers of Chambersburg, PA, and Christopher R. Bowers (fiancé JoAnn Orndorff) of Johnstown, PA; grandchildren Crystal M. Dobbins, Tristan DJ Dobbins, Cody Orndorff, Alexis Orndorff and Heather Brown; one great-grandson, Henry A.S. Horton; three sisters, 1 brother; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial visitation will be held at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA on Monday, May 2nd, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. While flowers are welcome, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org
