Kimberly Shatzer

March 22, 1963 — January 25, 2022

Kimberly S. “Kim” Shatzer, Ph.D., age 58 of Chambersburg, PA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior at the Chambersburg Hospital on Tuesday, January 25, 2022. Born March 22, 1963, in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of Phyllis Besecker Foreman and the late Glenn A. Webber.
Kim was a 1988 graduate of Shippensburg University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management, a 1993 graduate of Mt. St. Mary’s with a Master’s in Business Administration and Management, and a 2017 graduate of Eastern University with a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership. Armed with a wealth of knowledge and a heart to help others, she will be fondly remembered as a mentor to many, worldwide. She was currently the Sr. Vice-President of Training and Development at Citi Corp., where she dedicated 27 years. Kim was a member of King Street Church, Chairperson of its Personnel Relations Committee and a member of the Board of Administration. She attended and taught the Joy Sunday School Class. In addition to her career obligations and duties at church, Kim taught adjunct classes at Eastern University, Messiah University, and Wilson College.
Kim was the devoted wife to Thomas Shatzer, whom she married on December 15, 1984; beloved mother to, John “J.T.” Thomas of Chambersburg, PA and his fiancé, Jacquelyn Brode of Saxton, PA; sister of Kevin Webber (wife Tammy) of Orrstown, PA; and cherished friend to many. In addition, she is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and her beloved cat, Moses.
Kim lived and believed that life is about relationships, an area in which she was exceedingly wealthy. Kim was a tenacious friend. She relished the mutual investment in the lives of her friends, sharing their lives, laughing, and, in balancing her life, enjoyed time with them on beach trips and floating in the pool. Her favorite solo pastime was undoubtedly reading a book or five at a time.
