Kirk J. MacWilliams, 71, of Chambersburg, passed away of natural causes on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 in the Emory St. Joseph's Hospital of Atlanta, GA. Born on June 21, 1950 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Bernard J. and Jane E. Hoover MacWilliams.

A 1968 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School, Kirk was employed by Century Link (United Telephone Co) for 42 years and spent the majority of his career as an Outside Field Technician before retiring in 2012.

In earlier years, Kirk played football for the Chambersburg Yellow Jackets and baseball with the Chambersburg Maroons. He helped coach for both of his children in various sports and loved cheering them on. Kirk was an avid outdoorsman. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at his home in southern Maryland. He taught his grandchildren to fish, went on fishing trips with friends, and crabbed off of the dock. His family, especially his grandchildren, were the loves of his life.
