Kurt Schweitzer, 62, went home to Heaven February 17, 2016. He will be forever loved and missed by his loving wife of 40 years, his children and grandchildren, and large extended family. He will always be remembered as a man of God, who passionately loved his family. He was a leader and visionary in business and generous with his time and talent. Kurt’s contagious smile was ever present. Whether you knew him for 30 minutes or 30 years, he had the ability to connect and make you feel special. Kurt always knew that the shortest distance between two people was sharing a laugh. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:13) On Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 1:00 p.m., a Celebration of Life Mass will be held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Avenue Chambersburg. In lieu of flowers, the family has created a memorial fund that will donate to BOPiC (a local non-profit organization that provides healthy meals and nutritional education to children in Chambersburg) and Kiva Microfunds (a non-profit organization with a mission to connect people around the world through lending to alleviate poverty). Donations can be made online at www.gofundme.com/kurtschweitzer.
