Kyle Evan Hurden, 32, of Upper Strasburg, passed away on February 14, 2023. Born June 29, 1990 in Atlantic City, NJ, he was the son of Kathleen Dalrymple Hurden.
Kyle was a graduate of Chambersburg Area High School. He was employed as a Highway Heavy Construction General Laborer with Local Union 910. He was also employed through the union as a Cross Country Oil and Gas Pipeline Laborer. Kyle completed the Diver’s Academy International and was certified in underwater cutting and welding. He was also certified in underwater rigging, salvage and bridge inspections. He enjoyed hunting, BMX bike riding, riding dirt bikes, snowboarding and spending time with his family and friends, especially his nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother and her companion, Jeff Crouse, Kyle is survived by three siblings, Erin Alford (Derrick) of Stafford, VA, Steven Hurden of Upper Strasburg, and Samantha Hurden of Chambersburg; seven nieces and nephews, Landon and Charley Lowe, Cameron Lininger, and Krista, Kaci, Kaiden and Kylar Alford; a great nephew, Amaru Pannell; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Agnes Butler Dalrymple.
A viewing will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Monday, February 20, 2023 at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Interment will be private.
