Larry Brookens

Larry F. Brookens, 67, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away Wednesday morning, March 26, 2014. Born February 13, 1947 in Chambersburg, he was a son of Marie Heck Brookens and the late Sterling C. Brookens. Larry had been employed at Lehman’s Egg Service in Chambersburg. He was a member of Corpus Christi Church, a social member of Hume-McNeil-Byers AMVETS Post 224 where he served with the Color Guard, and he was an avid hunter.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, Robert S. Brookens and wife Patricia of Milford, OH; a sister, Judy M. Royce and husband Douglas of Chambersburg; two nephews, Ryan Royce and wife Kayla and Robert Brookens, Jr.; a niece, Michelle Brumagen; a great-nephew, Connor Brumagen; and three great-nieces, Kaycee Brumagen, Angelina and Olivia Brookens.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Tuesday, April 1, 2014 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA with Rev. Paul Thiesz officiating. Interment will follow at Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
