Larry E. Cluck, age 86, of Waynesboro, passed away on Tuesday evening, December 23, 2014 at Quincy Village. Born May 7, 1928 on the Duncan Farm in Guilford Township, he was a son of the late Dorsey A. and N. Pearl Bushman Cluck.
Larry worked on his father’s dairy farm until he purchased his own farm on Sandy Mount Road in Orrstown. He farmed there until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of Mont Alto United Methodist Church where he served as a trustee, the Pennsylvania Farmer’s Association, the Franklin County Farmer’s Association, and the Mont Alto Historical Society. Larry enjoyed horseback riding and western movies.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Leah M. Cluck, whom he married on August 28, 1954; two children, Rev. Daniel E. Cluck (Sue) of Shippensburg, and Linda D. Cluck (Brent Senseny) of Kutztown, PA; three grandchildren, Nathan A. Cluck (Sara) of Carlisle, Jared J. Cluck (Nicole) of Shippensburg, and Amy S. Biller (Joe) of Shippensburg; three great grandchildren, Jocelyn Biller, Desmond Biller, and Irah Cluck; two step great-grandchildren, Dakari and Kailan Motter; and two siblings, David Cluck of South Mountain, and Dorothy Cluck of Fayetteville. In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by five brothers, Joseph, Ebbert, Samuel, Dorsey, and Roy Cluck.
A funeral service to celebrate Larry’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 29, 2014 in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Larry’s son, Rev. Daniel E. Cluck, will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Mont Alto Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 28, 2014 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mont Alto United Methodist Church, 10 South Main Street, Mont Alto, PA 17237.
