Larry McCampbell

Larry David McCampbell, age 79 of Fayetteville, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, February 24, 2024. Born July 22, 1944, in Leaguna Beach, CA, he was the son of the late Victor and Mabel Smith McCampbell.

Larry was a 1963 graduate of Sherwood High School in Silver Spring, MD. He went on to serve honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. Larry was a draftsman by trade and worked for W.C. & A.N Miller Development Company for 32 years, and taught drafting at the Maryland Drafting Institute before retiring. He enjoyed his dog, Emma, fishing, hunting, and woodworking.

Surviving is his loving wife of 58 years, Carol Smock McCampbell, whom he married on January 9, 1966, two sons, David L. (wife Laura) and Ronald E. McCampbell (wife Patricia); three grandchildren, Josh, Noah, and Brianna McCampbell; two siblings, Vicki Frank (Gregory), Carol Kelliher (Kenny); and sister-in-law, Susan McCampbell, wife of the late Michael McCampbell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Michael McCampbell and Stephen McCampbell.

The family will host a Celebration of Larry's life for family and friends on Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 1-3 PM at Ron's home, 6412 Olde Pine Dr., Chambersburg, PA 17202
