Laura Diorio

Laura B. Diorio, age 90, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2014 at Menno Haven Nursing Home. Born March 4, 1924 in Vandergrift, PA, she was the daughter of the late Wayne W. and Verdie M. (Strong) Coy. Her loving husband of 30 years, Alfred W. Diorio, preceded her in death in 1991.

Laura spent most of her life as a homemaker in Mingo Junction, OH. Laura graduated from Vandergrift High School in 1942 and attended business school in New Kensington, PA. She then went on to work as a secretary in Pittsburgh, PA. Laura was an active and faithful member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Steubenville, OH.

She is survived by her brother, Robert W. Coy of Chambersburg, PA; three nephews, Robert W. Coy, Jr. of Cincinnati, OH, David N. Coy of Buckley, WA, and Neal R. Coy of Elverson, PA; and her faithful and dear friend Michelle Park, Scottsdale, AZ.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 25, 2014 at Menno Haven Chapel, 2075 Scotland Ave. Chambersburg, PA 17201. Chaplain Vernon Isner will officiate. A private interment will be held at Oakland Cemetery in Mingo Junction, OH. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
