Lawrence Seburn

Lawrence J. “Mike” Seburn, 75, of Chambersburg, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2017 at his home. Born September 9, 1941 in Hancock, MD, he was a son of the late Lawrence E. and Arlene Margaret Hann Seburn. His wife Bonnie L. Golden Seburn, whom he married on February 14, 1963, preceded him in death on December 23, 2013.

A U.S. Army veteran, Mike served honorably from 1959 – 1962. During his service he was stationed in Germany as a guard on the Berlin Wall. He was employed as an Electronic Technician at Letterkenny Army Depot until his retirement in 1999. He was a member of the AmVets Post 224, the Chambersburg Club, and the St. Thomas American Legion Post 612. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan. He also loved his fur baby “Dot”.

Mike is survived by his daughter, Kimberly S. Wingert and husband Timothy L. of Chambersburg; two grandchildren, Karah L. Briggs of Fayetteville and Korey M. Wingert of Chambersburg; one great-granddaughter, Aubree Rayne Wingert; and four siblings, Goldie Sord and husband Art of Chambersburg, and Stella Pittman and husband Jim, Marie Richards and husband Reed, and Alice Kerlin and husband Raymond, all of McConnellsburg. In addition to his parents and wife he is preceded in death by two brothers, Irvin in 2017 and Howard in 2016.

Services will be private and under the direction of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
