Lee C. Lehr, 81, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away Friday, April 17, 2020 at his home. Born October 10, 1938 in Frostburg, MD, he was a son of the late Myron and Helen Morgan Lehr. A graduate of Beall High School in Frostburg, he served in the United States Coast Guard Reserve from 1961-1969. Early in his life he was employed with United Airlines at BWI Airport. He then was licensed as an insurance agent and was employed with the Virginia Farm Bureau in Leesburg, VA for 27 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Fayetteville where he served as a Trustee. He was a life member of the Optimus Club in Leesburg and enjoyed spending time with his family, sports, fishing and spending time at Deep Creek Lake, reading, jazz music, and working in his yard.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy J. Bolt Lehr, whom he married December 23, 1961; three children, Frances Lehr Chiado (Ed), Ross Thomas Lehr (Kim), and Theodore Matthew Lehr (Pam); and six grandchildren, Anthony, Emily, Alyssa, Owen, Casey, and Matthew. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas G. Lehr.
A memorial service to celebrate Lee’s life will be held at a later date. Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park, Frostburg, MD
