Leigh Ann Shope

Leigh Ann Shope, 25, of Dry Run, PA, passed away Tuesday evening, August 26, 2014 at Hershey Medical Center. Born June 1, 1989 in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Thomas L. Shope, Brenda L. Wise, and the late Donna F. Wing Shope. Leigh Ann was a spiritual and optimistic young woman who had a great love for life and for people. Her greatest gift was the love that she shared with others. She attended Shady Pine Mennonite Church and was a graduate of the Fannett-Metal High School.

In addition to her parents, Leigh Ann is survived by two brothers, Joseph L. Shope of New York and Daniel L. Shope (wife Amy) of Chambersburg; her Paternal Grandparents, Nelson and Joyce Snyder of Elizabethtown; and Maternal Grandparents Roy and Mary Wing of New York, and Glenn and Dorothy Wise of Willow Hill; as well as numerous loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, September 1, 2014 at Shady Pine Mennonite Church, Willow Hill, PA with Rev. Marlin A. “Butch” Neil and Rev. Charles Naylor officiating. Interment will follow at the Reformed Church Cemetery near Fannettsburg. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 31, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.
