Leota Davis

Leota Roberta Davis, 74, of Fayetteville, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023 at her home. Born March 25, 1949 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Vivian J. Broadneax Barbour and the late Robert Lee Davis.

Leota was a member of Brownsville Church of God in Fayetteville. She loved babysitting and watched a lot of children over the years. Leota also enjoyed puzzles, watching soap operas and westerns, singing in the church choir and dancing.

In addition to her mother, Leota is survived by her daughter, Cora McKeithan (Frederick) of NC; and five siblings, Louise Granger (James) of Indianapolis, IN, Arthur C. Barbour III, of Chambersburg, Merry E. Green of Fayetteville, Mary E. Barbour of Fayetteville, and Arnold Barbour (Phedra) of Fayetteville. Aside from her father, Leota was preceded in death by two sisters, Vivian Davis and Lucinda Barbour; and her special friend, Brett Rideout.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 1, 2023 at Brownsville Church of God, 6390 Lincoln Way E., Fayetteville, PA 17222. Rev. Victor Johnson will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Lebanon Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brownsville Church of God at the above address.
