Lex Crider Skelly, 58, of Chambersburg, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Hershey Medical Center. Born December 5, 1958 in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Frank Shull Skelly and Cora Louise Crider Skelly.
Lex was a 1977 graduate of CASHS. He was employed as a machine operator at Dr. Pepper/Snapple for the past 20 years. Lex was a member of Chambersburg First Church of God. He loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters. He was a skilled craftsman, and was always working with his hands. Lex enjoyed working and built his family’s home himself. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his dogs, Lamonte and Mocha.
Lex is survived by his wife of 32 years, Pam Skelly, whom he married on March 1, 1985; two children, Krystal Williamson and husband Anthon of Marion, and Kevin Skelly of Chambersburg; two granddaughters, Liliana and Makenna; and his sister, Darlene Myers and husband Jeff of Chambersburg.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Chambersburg First Church of God, 2230 Grand Point Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Rev. Lawrence Metzler and Rev. Don Drury will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 – 8 PM at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA, and one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Chambersburg First Church of God at the above address.
