Lillian Rose Urquhart, 97, formerly of 637 Brookens Road, Fayetteville, PA, died Sunday morning, January 1, 2012 at Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Chambersburg, PA. Born December 11, 1914 in Oswego, NY, she was a daughter of the late Lee Eugene and Myrtle Belle Templeton Rose. Lillian was a homemaker most her life. She was a member of The Presbyterian Church of the Falling Spring and the Presbyterian Women. Most recently she had attended Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church. She was also a member of the Letterkenny Ladies Club. Her beloved husband, Colonel Edmund Ragland Urquhart (US Army, Ret.) preceded her in death on February 3, 1983.
She is survived by her son, Steven R. Urquhart and wife Denice of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren, B.J. Lake and wife Nicole of Mercersburg, Wesley Lake of Fayetteville, Rebecca Heinbaugh and husband Edward, Jr. of McConnellsburg; Merry, Daniel, Jonathan, and Sarah Grace Urquhart, all of Fayetteville; and five great-grandchildren, Emily and Noah Lake of McConnellsburg; Kadee, Kaylee, and Kiersten Lake, all of Mercersburg.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, January 6, 2012 at Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church, 2509 Black Gap Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Garry Culler will officiate. Interment will be private.
