Linda Forbes, age 73, passed away peacefully at home on July 27, 2016 surrounded by the spirit of the Lord and her loving family. Born July 15, 1943, she was a daughter of the late J. Paul and Mary (Kitzmiller) Lytle.
Linda is survived by her cherished husband of thirty years, Raymond Forbes; her daughter Dianne Kelso (Denise Simmers) of Chambersburg; her sons Troy Forbes (Gina) of Destin, FL and Mark Forbes (Stacie) of Tallahassee, FL; and her grandchildren Hunter, Taylor, Cole, and Reece. She is also survived by her brother, Jay Lytle (Marlene); her sisters Joyce Dice (Nelson) and Mary Ann Tosten (Larry), all of Chambersburg; along with many dearly loved nieces and nephews.
Linda was raised on the family farm with her beloved brother and sisters and graduated in 1961 from Chambersburg Area Senior High School. She spent her entire professional career, beginning in her early twenties, working in the local financial and banking industry ultimately retiring from M&T Bank in 2007 after 25 years. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and spending time at Deep Creek Lake. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends, all of whom she loved deeply.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Linda’s life at 10:30 AM Saturday, July 30, 2016 in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Matthew Tosten will officiate. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 8:30 -10:30 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
