Linda J. Lojacono

Linda J. Lojacono, 79, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Friday morning, February 14, 2025, at Quincy Village. Born December 28, 1945, in Binghamton, NY, she was the daughter of the late Steven Mazar and Jane Ogel Cassity.

During her junior year of high school she had the opportunity to be an exchange student in Chile. She continued her relationship with her host family for many years. Linda attended Trinity University in San Antonio, TX and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of New York at Brockport in 1979. She had been employed as a job coach at the Kenton County School District in Kentucky until her retirement. She was previously employed with US Airways in Reservations. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Chambersburg, the Chambersburg Quilting Guild and the Franklin County Art Alliance. Linda enjoyed painting, watercolor, photography, quilting, gardening, reading, and traveling, having been to many different countries around the world.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Alfred A. “Al” Lojacono, whom she married on November 19, 1978; two children, Julia M. Ziegler and husband Lee of Allentown, PA, and Brett A. Lojacono and wife Jessica of Williamsport, MD; four grandchildren, Hayden, Ava, Carter and Hadlee; and one brother, Rick Mazar and wife Ruth of Ogdensburg, NY.

A memorial service in honor of Linda will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 21, 2025, in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Mrs. Gail Vaughn and Rev. Dick Williams will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
