Linda Price

Linda J. “Bupps” Sheaffer Price, 63, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon, June 23, 2013 at her home. Born June 21, 1950 in Ephrata, PA, she was a daughter of the late Earl Sheaffer and Edna Hilton Miller. Bupps was raised at her beloved Scotland School for Veterans' Children, graduating in 1969. While attending school she obtained her cosmetology license and went on to own and operate a salon in Ephrata following graduation. She last worked as a House Parent at Scotland School. Bupps enjoyed and loved her family and had a special love for her brothers and sisters from Scotland School. She also enjoyed gardening.

She is survived by her husband, Rickey L. Price, whom she married December 9, 1995; two daughters, Lisa Getz Bender and husband Brian of Akron, PA and Kara Getz and companion Michael Cover of Shippensburg; two granddaughters, Amy Getz of Chambersburg and Briana Bender of Akron; and four siblings, Betty Loose of Lititz, PA, Sally Sheaffer and companion Lynn McJunkin of York, PA, John Sheaffer and wife Ginny of Pittsburgh, PA, and Daniel Beck and companion Carolyn Horvath of Lancaster, PA; two nieces, Becky and Barbie; two great-nephews, Shawn and Steve; and one great-niece, Sidney. She is also survived by a special friend, Ginny Beck of Leola, PA. She was preceded in death by her “Mom and Dad”, Douglas and Mildred Sheaffer Beck; and a sister, Patricia Miller Loar.

In accord with her wishes, there will be no service.

The family requests the omission of flowers and suggests memorial contributions in her name be made to the Scotland School Alumni Association, PO Box 129, Scotland, PA 17254.
