Lisa K. Black, age 53, of Chambersburg, PA; passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2011. Born January 29, 1958 in Harrisburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles C. and Joyce Y. Wilbert Silks.
Lisa graduated from the Chambersburg Area High School's Class of 1976; she went on to work at Landis Machine and Schreiber Foods. Most recently, Lisa was a homemaker, which allowed to more time to take care of Duke, Harley, her beloved pets.
Surviving are her husband, Rodney V. Black, whom she married August 5, 1986, two sisters, Kathy M. Silks (Gerald Todd) of Alexandria, VA and Lori A. Wetzel (Charles) of Fayetteville, PA, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 10 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where Don Drury will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 2325 Country Rd., Chambersburg, PA 17202.
