Lisa Stevens Monroig

Lisa Kay Stevens Monroig, age 46, of Chambersburg, PA; passed away peacefully at her home with her family at her side. Born October 26, 1964, she was the daughter of Betty L. McClure Stevens and the late Glen Franklin Stevens, Sr.

Lisa worked in customer service at Citi Group in Hagerstown, MD; she was a graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School Class of 1982. In addition to her working schedule, she loved spending time with her family, being a Mom, keeping her husband Gilbert “in line”,watching the show “Days of our Lives”, craft shows, the beach, and the Arentzville Apple Harvest Festival.

In addition to her mother, Lisa is survived by her husband of 30 years, Gilbert Monroig; two children, Marquitta Ann and Malachi Ruben Monroig both of Chambersburg, PA; one grandson Nathaniel Micah Monroig; five siblings, Dan Stevens (girlfriend heather Ling) of Chambersburg, Randy Stevens (girlfriend Natalie Kasper) of Chambersburg, Jim Stevens (wife Lori) of Ohio, Deb Mulhollen (husband Randy) of Chambersburg, and Ruby Fittry (fiancé Dallas Landis) of Chambersburg; her mother-in-law, Olga Villanueva of Chambersburg; three sister-in-laws, Blanca Romero (husband Ralph) of Shippensburg, Annette Monroig of Chambersburg, and Diana Onativia (husband Ivan) of Florida; one brother-in-law, Louis Monroig (wife Valerie) of Chambersburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother Glen Stevens, Jr.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 20, 2011 at 11:30 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA 17202; where Pastors Sampson and Nancy Myers will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 19, 2011 from 6-9 PM and one hour prior to the service on Friday in the Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service in Parklawns Memorial Gardens.
