Lois Heckman

Lois M. Heckman, 83, of Chambersburg, passed away on Wednesday December 31, 2014. Born September 11, 1931 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late David L. and Hazel I. Harbaugh Monn. Lois spent her working years as an Operating Room Assistant at The Chambersburg Hospital

Lois is survived by her loving husband of 64 years Paul E. Heckman, whom she married December 9, 1950; 4 daughters, Paula Byers and husband Wayne, Jr. of Fayetteville, Rhonda Gift and husband Mark of Chambersburg, Alisa Wiegand and husband William of Fayetteville and Amelia Miller of Fayetteville; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; 2 sisters, Molly Stotler of Hagerstown and Vivian Wagaman of Waynesboro; 6 brothers, Dennis of Hagerstown ,MD, Harry of Martinsburg, WV, Ronald of Mercersburg, Stanley of FL, Lawrence of Waynesboro, and Nevin of Waynesboro. Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by 5 sisters and 5 brothers.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, January 5, 2014 at Norland Cemetery at 11:30 AM. Rev. William Dick will officiate. At Lois’ request, there will be no viewing. Arrangements have been entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg.
