Lorna Wallace

August 23, 1938 — September 15, 2017

Lorna Flohr Wallace, 79, went home to be with the Lord on September 15, 2017. Lorna was born in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania but has resided in Chambersburg, Scotland, and most recently Shippensburg, PA for over 50 years. Lorna is preceded in death by her parents and brother, William P. Flohr, Sr., Florence Bernina Flohr, and William P Flohr, Jr., all from Waynesboro, PA. She is survived by her husband, G. William (Bill) Wallace of Shippensburg, PA, her daughter and son-in-law, Christy W. Higgs and Vince Higgs of Windermere, FL, two granddaughters, Sarah and Rebekah Higgs also of Windermere, FL, and a nephew, William P. Flohr III.
Lorna was an active member in all her communities. She served as the corporate officer and buyer for Rines Pharmacy, Inc. from 1966-1993. She was employed as a secretary in the advertising department at Landis Machine Co. in Waynesboro, PA, from 1956-1958 and was a Jr. account executive for Aiken Kynet, Philadelphia, PA, from 1958-1959. Lorna had a passion for the care of animals and was deeply involved with many aspects of her local animal shelter. She volunteered at the Animal Shelter Thrift Shop. She also served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter from 1997-1999. She was a former member of the Chambersburg Country Club and the Ladies Auxiliary at the Chambersburg Hospital. Lorna was a graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School Class of 1956.
