Lorraine S. Dufour, age 55, of Chambersburg, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2014 at her home. Born August 2, 1959, she was a daughter of the late Donald Taylor, Sr. and Gloria Keene Taylor.
Lorraine graduated from Largo High School in Upper Marlboro, MD. She worked in construction, at Benson Glass, and most recently as a customer service representative for Citi Bank for the past ten years. She attended Christian Life Assembly of God in St. Thomas and was an active participant in the New Life Sunday School class.
Lorraine is survived by three children, Melindia Washington (Andre) of Hagerstown, Tammy Sherwood (Dakota) of St. Thomas, and Steven Burke, Jr. of St. Thomas; nine grandchildren, Tonya Dufour, Paul Brown, Ronald Dufour II, Anthony Dufour, Aliyah Washington, Lorraine T. Dufour, Dameon Dufour, Karina Jiminez, and Andre Washington II; her sister, Cynthia L. Taylor (Joe E. Dunbar) of Lanham, MD; and her nephew, Jonathan Taylor Dunbar. In addition to her parents, Lorraine is preceded in death by a brother, Donald Taylor, Jr.
A funeral service to honor Lorraine’s life will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, January 2, 2015 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Rev. Bill Powell will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
