Louise Neil

Louise Lois Neil, age 78, of Willow Hill, PA, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at the Shippensburg Health Care Center. Born in Chambersburg, PA on August 31, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Edna Parsons Yocum.
A seamstress, Mrs. Neil worked at the former J. Schoeneman Company for 35 years, retiring in 1991. She enjoyed word puzzles, singing, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Neil was a faithful member of the former Mountain Green United Methodist Church.
Surviving is her husband of 62 years, Ronald Neil, Sr. of Willow Hill, PA; three children, Ronald Neil, Jr. (wife Jeanette) of Willow Hill, PA, Debra Shoemaker (husband Kenneth) of Amberson, PA, and Tony Neil (wife Tina) of Willow Hill, PA; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; and three sisters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at 10 AM at Shady Pine Mennonite Church, 14620 Shady Pine Rd., Willow Hill, PA 17271, where Rev. Marlin A. “Butch” Neil and Rev. Samuel Sollenberger will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church at the above address. Interment will follow the service in Upper Path Valley Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Agett-Geisel Funeral Home, Dry Run, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2595 Interstate Drive, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
