Lucinda “Cindy” B. North, age 65, of Chambersburg, PA, left her earthly cocoon, and has flown to God’s heavenly home, as a newly hatched beautiful butterfly on November 5, 2017, at the Hershey Medical Center. Born March 10, 1952, in Chambersburg, PA, she was a daughter of Betty Shives Earnest and the late Ray Earnest, Jr.
Cindy was an LPN for most of her adult life, retiring in 2014, having last worked at Menno Haven in Chambersburg. She was quite crafty and enjoyed making jewelry. She especially loved crocheting and crocheted many beautiful Afghans. Cindy enjoyed traveling and going on cruises. She attended King Street Church in Chambersburg, PA. Cindy was also a Seattle Seahawks Fan. One of her favorite hobbies was to raise caterpillars into butterflies.
Surviving are her children, Jennifer Mack (husband Keith), and Ray North, all of Chambersburg; grandchildren Kayla Miller, Brett Miller, Dylon North; step-grandson, Cody McGee; siblings, Shirley J. Younker (husband Maurice) of Mercersburg, PA, Sheila Moore (husband Craig) of Sparta, Tennessee, Sandra Drolsbaugh of Honey Grove, PA, Reba Arnold (husband Paul) of Shermansdale, PA, Sharon Reisher (husband Mike), Linda Reisher (husband Joseph), Ray Earnest III (wife Brenda), Ruth Henry (husband Ray), Shawnee White (husband George), all of East Waterford, PA; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her niece, Leslie White and brother-in-law, Paul Drolsbaugh.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 22 at 2:30 PM in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA, where Rev. Dr. Terry Martin – Minnick will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L.
