Lyle Umbrell

Lyle S. Umbrell, age 90, of Dry Run, PA, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018, at Shippensburg Healthcare Center. Born May 13, 1927, in Doylesburg, PA he was the son of the late Harold B. and Eithel I. Ryder Umbrell.
Mr. Umbrell was a graduate of the former Fannett township high school. He was a dairy farmer all his life.
He is survived by, three children, Sarah Jane Umbrell of Dry Run, Matthew L. Umbrell (Ida Mae) of Dry Run, and Edward L. Umbrell (Regina) of Doylesburg; four grandchildren, Paul, Eliza, Trevor and Kenzie Umbrell; two great grandchildren; He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Sarah Catherine Umbrell in 2017, two sons, John and Donald Umbrell, and a brother, Raymond E. Umbrell.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 22, 2018, at Spring Run United Methodist Church, 16667 Main Street, Spring Run, PA 17262. Rev. Darwin Goshorn will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Upper Path Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The family requests the omission of flowers and asks that memorial contributions be made to Spring Run United Methodist Church General Fund at the above address.
