Lynn Ulrich

Lynn Bryon Ulrich, 63, of Chambersburg, PA, died Monday evening, May 5, 2014 in York Hospital from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Saturday near Waynesboro. Born September 10, 1950 in Chambersburg, he was a son of Arlene Brookens Gelwicks of Fayetteville, PA and the late Charles William Ulrich. Lynn was a 1968 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School. He retired from Letterkenny Army Depot after 24 years of service and was currently employed as a Corrections Officer with the State of Maryland, where he had worked since 2001. He was a member of the Marine Corps League and Hume-McNeil-Byers AMVETS Post 224, both in Chambersburg, and the Hagerstown Chapter of PRIDE. Lynn liked hunting and motorcycle riding. He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by two sons, Dustin L. Ulrich and wife Stacy of Chambersburg and Tyler J. Ulrich of Chambersburg; and five siblings, Galen C. “Punch” Ulrich and wife Carol of Hagerstown, MD, Bonnie Heinbaugh and husband Leonard of Chambersburg, Lucinda “Cindy” Garland and husband Dave of St. Thomas, Donna Rhone and husband Luther “Jake” of South Mountain, and Harold Bateman of Chambersburg.

Friends are invited to visit with the family and celebrate Lynn’s life from 5:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. There will be no public service and interment will be private.
