Marcia Boyer

Marcia Wanda Boyer, 72, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Friday, September 30, 2022 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born November 19, 1949 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of Mabel Wingert Bard of St. Thomas and the late Marshall Bard. Marcia was a graduate of the former St. Thomas High School and was employed early in her life at Knouse Foods in Chambersburg. She went on to a 24 ½ year career with Giant Foods where she worked in numerous area stores training other employees prior to her retirement in 2013. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time at the beach, especially Bethany Beach and Dewey Beach.

She is survived by her husband, Russell E. Boyer; four sons, Timothy Ray Boyer and wife Michelle Hall of Baltimore, Terry Russell Boyer and wife Sandie of Baltimore, Rusty Lynn Boyer and fiancé Sherry Jones of Waynesboro, and Marshall Edward Boyer and wife Danean of California; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Daryl Bard and wife Lisa and Larry Bard and wife Nancy; her sister, Doris Lane (wife of the late Harold); and her best friend, Brenda Bailey.

Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 7, 2022 at Parklawns Memorial Gardens. Rev. Dr. A. Robert Cook will officiate.
