Margaret “Sally” Jansen, 91, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Paramount Senior Living. Born March 25, 1927 in Kaukauna, WI, she was a daughter of the late Thurston and Florence West Lambie. On May 28, 1949 she married the love of her life, Mark “Gunner” Jansen and they were blessed with seven children. In 1961 they moved their family from Wisconsin to Pennsylvania. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Her kitchen was her domain and she was famous for her chocolate chip cookies. She loved John Wayne, Western movies, and a good card game. She was a very active member of Corpus Christi Church and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
She is survived by two of her daughters and four sons, Toni Jansen, Norristown, PA, Mark Jansen (Linda), Fayetteville, PA, Guy Jansen, Chambersburg, PA, Peter Jansen (Edith), Richmond, IN, Arnold Jansen (Laura), Ft. Loudon, PA, and Mary Wilson (Anthony), Fayetteville, PA; grandchildren Matthew Jansen (Michelle), Nicholas Jansen (Laura), Guy Jansen (Hope), Patrick Jansen (Tamyra), Scott Jansen, Jessica Stenger (Tim), Elizabeth Wilson, John Jansen (Jennifer), Andrew Wilson (Rebecca), Jared Wilson (Alyse), Eric Jansen, Sarah Jansen (Jacob), Shayna Jansen-Byers (Philip), and Jessica Carr (Jake); plus 22 great-grandchildren with one “still in the oven” as she would say. She is also survived by her sister Lois Simons, Combined Locks, WI, a brother-in-law, Marvin Jansen, Kaukauna, WI, and many treasured nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Mark, daughter Bridget Jansen, daughter-in-law Sheree Byers Jansen, and granddaughter Melissa Jansen, along with three brothers, a sister, many beloved brothers and sisters-in-law, and friends too numerous to count.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Very Reverend Luis R. Rodriguez V.F. and Rev Dominic M DiBiccaro, assisted by Deacon Richard Ramsey at 10:00 AM Monday, November 19, 2018 Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg, PA. There will be no viewing. Interment will be private.
