Margaret Thomas

Margaret J. Thomas, age 79, of Chambersburg, PA passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014 in the Menno Haven Nursing Home. Born September 29, 1934 in Cearfoss, MD, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd L. and Ruth A. Smith.
Surviving are three children, Jeffrey L. Thomas of Chambersburg, PA; Ronald L. Thomas of Chambersburg, PA; and Patricia A. Gutshall (husband Richard) of Shippensburg, PA; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two siblings, Donald L. Smith and Dorothy J. Swope; and two nieces. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Thomas in 2005 and sister, Phyllis M. Wood.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 10 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where Rev. Paul B. Baker will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, 384 Floral Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
