Margie C. Poe, age 82, a resident of The Village of Laurel Run and formerly of Fayetteville, passed away in the Chambersburg Hospital on Wednesday, April 11, 2012. Born September 25, 1929 in Fayetteville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Fickes and Mary G. McKenrich Fickes Mull Stoops.

Margie was a press operator for the former Stanley Company and then went on to work at Tracy Fashions, later retiring from Hoffman Mills in Shippensburg. A member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, she enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening, and bird watching.

Surviving are her three children, Carol Ann Neil (Melvin) of Mobile, AL, Bonnie Lee Fleming (Raymond) of Fayetteville, PA, and Gregory Harold Poe (Melissa) of Greencastle, PA; ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, two great-great grandsons; and three brothers, Charles Fickes of Chambersburg, PA, Gary Mull of Fayetteville, PA, and Barry Mull of Fayetteville, PA. Aside from her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Poe who passed away on April 25, 1982; two brothers, Richard Fickes and Robert Mull, Jr.; a sister, Loraine Mull; and one grandchild.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at 11:30 AM in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Pastor Ken Reid will officiate. Interment will follow in Corpus Christi Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 7 to 8 PM and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
