Margred Lewis, 91, of Chambersburg, PA, died Saturday morning, January 18, 2014 at ManorCare Health Services. Born May 29, 1922 in New York, New York, she was the daughter of Vaughn Shereyetian and Virginia Gulian Agopian. Mrs. Lewis had owned and operated the former Margred’s Bridal in Chambersburg for nearly 30 years. She was a member of King Street United Brethren Church and a former member of the Downtown Merchant’s Association and the Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce. She was an avid reader, enjoyed bible study, knitting, and journaling. Her husband, John L. Lewis, preceded her in death in January of 2004.
She is survived by her son, James E. Lewis and wife Jean of Jackson Hole, WY; her daughter, Margred D. Jednat and husband Paul of Chambersburg; and four grandchildren, Jennifer E. Lewis - Jaffe, Joanna C. Lewis - Fishman, Jonathan P. Jednat, and Ethan J. Jednat. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a brother, Edmund Chapman.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg.
