Marian E. Holmes, 79, of Chambersburg, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at her home from a brief illness. She will be greatly missed. Born, April 26, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Arlene Kessler of Shippensburg, PA.
Prior to her retirement, Marian was employed with the Chambersburg Hospital, American Can Company, the Office of Aging, Scotland School for Veteran’s Children, and she was a representative for Avon and Tupperware.
Marian is survived by her companion of 41 years, Dennis Olson; two nieces, Shelly Mooney and Stacey Kessler; and her sister Karen Hershey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her younger siblings, Paul Kessler and Joan Swarthout.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 30, 2017, in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Paul B. Baker will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday.
