Marie Dean

Marie B. Dean, age 99, of Chambersburg, PA, and formerly of Amberson, PA, passed away at Penn Hall Nursing Center on Sunday, November 20, 2016. Born January 15, 1917, in Altham, PA, she was the daughter of the late George F. and Ann May Sauer Bussell.
A Homemaker most of her working years, she was employed as a lathe operator and clerk for 10 years at Taylor Fiber Company, Betzwood, PA. Mrs. Dean was a member of the James W. McCartney Post 232, Ladies Auxiliary in Dry Run, PA and the Menno Haven Christian Fellowship at Penn Hall. She enjoyed crafts and activities at Penn Hall, when she was able.
Surviving is her son, Dennis S. Dean (wife Connie) of Amberson, PA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Shaner G. Dean on November 1, 1995, and four brothers, Adam, Ralph, Floyd, and Lester Bussell.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 25, 2016, at 11 AM in Amberson Union Cemetery, Amberson, PA, where Chaplain Brenda Doyle will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Amberson Union Cemetery, c/o Nancy Kirgan, P.O. Box 34, Amberson, PA 17210.
