Marie A. (Knott) Mote, 90, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Thursday, September 14, 2023 in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born October 21, 1932 in Philadelphia, PA she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Salagi) Knott.
She was a graduate of Germantown High School. Marie was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church where she was a member of the Young at Heart Club. She enjoyed volunteering at Menno Haven in many different aspects.
She is survived by three children, William Mote and his wife Catherine of Newtown, PA, Rhonda Pierce and her husband Jeffrey of Summerfield, FL, and Donna Wills and her husband Albert of Deer Lake, PA; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren as well as a set of twins on the way. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Mote who passed away, May 26, 2011 and a sister Arelene Hottensen.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 22, 2023 in St. Andrew Catholic Church, 81 Swamp Rd, Newtown, PA 18940. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Friday morning in the church. Arrangements are by the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 279 N. Second Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
