Marilyn J. Miller, 82, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born August 9, 1937 in Barberton, OH, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Addie Arnett Shofter. Marilyn was a graduate of the Barberton High School. A loving and devoted homemaker most of her life, she was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed reading, sewing, cake decorating, and tending her African violets.
She is survived by her husband, George R. Miller, whom she married September 27, 1958; five children, Bruce Miller (Mary Beth) of Chambersburg, Kimberly Phillips of Chambersburg, Karen Wolfe of Chambersburg, Karla Scott (David) of Lawrenceville, GA, and Daniel Miller of Chambersburg; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Hilda June Flaker and Virginia Haynes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Robert Shofter; and two sisters, Doris Wiley and Maxine Barnett.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until services begin at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 14, 2019 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 50 Ragged Edge Road, Chambersburg, PA. Bishop Dean Orr will officiate. Interment will be at 2:00 PM Saturday at Park Heights Cemetery in Brunswick, MD
