Marion Truett

February 17, 1933 — November 7, 2021

Marion E. (Kean) Truett, 88, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021 in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born February 17, 1933 in Chambersburg she was the daughter of the late Earl H. and Mary C. (Koser) Kean.

She was employed as a seamstress for over 40 years at the Stanley Company. Marion was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Chambersburg and the Order of the Eastern Star, Martha Custis Chapter 342. She was a past Worthy Matron of the Chapter. She was also a member of Willard-Waterman Court No. 54, Order of The Amaranth in Mechanicsburg, PA.

Marion is survived by two sons, Richard T. Truett and wife Susan and Wilbur R. “Russ” Truett, III and wife Deborah; eight grandchildren, Michelle R. Hoover and husband Ken, Richard T. Truett, Jr., Wilbur R. “Rusty” Truett IV and wife Janelle, Michael A. Truett and wife Cate, Tracy Roman, Trish Stewart and her husband Keith, Wade Saylor and wife Kelly, and Ryan Saylor and wife Renee; nineteen great-grandchildren, Karinna Hoover and her significant other Austin Votta, Kaden Hoover, Kelsie Truett, Colton Truett, Taylor Truett, Jonah Saylor, Natalie Saylor, Olivia Saylor, Zachary Beegle and wife Cassie, Sam Beegle, Jacob Beegle, Ileigh Truett, Leighton Truett, Ceagan Truett, Walker Truett, Kelsey Wali and her husband Colin, Skylar Roman, Bryce Stewart, and Ian Stewart; three great-great-grandchildren, Wynn Wali, Aiden Farner and Camdyn Farner; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Russ Truett, Jr. who passed away April 15, 2013; ten brothers and sisters; a grandson, Brian R. Truett and a great-grandson, Peyton Truett.

Services will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, November 12, 2021 in the Chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202 with Rev. Ron Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Friday morning in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 225 S. Second Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
