Marjorie Ritter

Marjorie B. Ritter, age 87 of Fayetteville, PA passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Quincy Retirement Home. Born November 5, 1925 in Bedford County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Cora Messer Smith.
A homemaker most of her life, Mrs. Ritter enjoyed spending time with her family. She resided in Fayetteville for a number of years; where her grandson, Davey Bumbaugh resided with her and kept her company. She was a member of the Fayetteville Church of God.
Surviving are her children, Lloyd H. Ritter (wife Joan E.) of Fairfield, PA and Arlene B. Blizzard (husband Dan) of Chambersburg, PA; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and six siblings, Thelma Garland of St. Thomas, PA, Melva Peters (husband Earl) of Fayetteville, PA, Bertha McAll of Ohio, Jean Shaffer of Fayetteville, PA, Ralph Smith of Maryland, and Ronald Smith of Marion, PA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Ritter in July 13, 1990, one great great granddaughter, Chasity Bumbaugh, and five siblings, Ethel Gilbert, Joyce Clarke, Phyllis Snoke, Ruth Johns, and Robert Smith.
Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA on Friday, March 22, 2013 at 10 AM; where Pastor Staci Geesaman will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 21 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
